Abstract

This paper focuses on the development of library collections in developing
countries such as ours. The main theme dwells on Books Selectivity
Philosophy which is examined hypothetically. The selection environment
and practical acquisitions problems are analysed. The conclusion affirms the importance of user needs by technological advancement in the library world.
