Abstract

The July 2023 issue consists of six papers. The paper by Antwi, Agyekum and Asare on the dilemma of leadership succession in academic libraries in Ghana commences with this issue. The study explored succession planning strategies as means of choosing prospective leaders in academic libraries in Ghana, and revealed the lack of succession planning in academic libraries in Ghana. The second paper by Buhari assessed collection development policy as a panacea for collection development challenges in university libraries in Africa. The paper discusses various challenges collection development is faced with, and outlines the strategies adopted by university libraries to guide their collection development activities.
